Carnival Nails

Stripes and Dots

Happy Saturday everyone, and for my normal weekend nails I have the last challenge in @clairestelle8 August mani's. I had mani ideas for this one, being Carnival to me means bright and colourful. I saw a mani on Google images by Dollface22772, and thought I'd give it try myself. Mine is no were as neat a nice looking as Dollface's, but I like it. So using these colours I painted stripes and added dots.

So glad the sun was shining for these photos as I added a holo topcoat that I'd made myself, just to add an extra bit of sparkle.
Have a great weekend, I'm off to spend the day with all my children and granddaughter.
Stay safe and much love....

Charlies Nail Art

Nail Foil Review

So today's review from Charlies Nail Art is a very sparkly nail foil. This foil is number 80 and costs just 39p for a strip measuring 13cm x 4cm, which is enough to do a full manicure,  or even bling your toes nails!!

Front and back of foil.
I really waited for the sun to come out to take these photos, as I really wanted to show you all the beauty of the foil.
As you paint your nails with a base colour before applying foil I thought the best colour for this foil would be a sparkly silver. After waiting for the foil glue to dry, I cut the foil into pieces big enough to cover each nail, and as my previous foil reviews, place the foil over your nail and press over the whole nail, I use a cotton bud to help smooth the foil, then pull off to leave a beautiful sparkling foil covered nail.

Topcoat made the foil crinkle slightly, but still super sparkly and pretty.
My 10 % discount code is BNM10 to use at the checkout.

Miss Sporty

Gel Shine Nail Polish

A last minute decision to do a blog post today, but one I wanted to do as soon as possible. You see I saw in my local Superdrug the other week an empty display in the Miss Sporty Nail Polish. On a closer look I read the label which stated Gel Shine Polish. Now I'm always on the lookout for a gel effect polish, as I like the glossy finish without the use of a UV lamp. Looked online for swatches, and couldn't find any.
While shopping this morning, I went in to look and Yay,  some of the spaces had been filled, sadly not all. So I bought the 4 colours they had. Still priced at £1.99 each, and at the moment Miss Sporty is on a 3 for 5.

Sadly no names only numbers. So onto my swatches. First up the dark blue number 510.

Two coats with no topcoat. Drying time was fast, the finish and colour are stunning, I wanted to see how much more shiner the topcoat would make it...and wow!!!

I'm so getting another topcoat! Number 010.
The red numbered 160. Again 2 coats and no topcoat.

What a super rich colour. Fast drying time to the touch again, and nice shiny finish.
The light pink number 480, took 3 coats, but I reckon a 4th was needed. A sheer polish for a gel look, but still a pretty colour.

No topcoat used, and still a nice glossy finish for such a delicate colour. I have looked on the Superdrug website,  but I can't find these polishes on there. So if you like them then a visit to your Superdrug is needed. I'm hoping mine will get the other colours, would be nice too see what they are.
Stay safe and much love...

Moyou Nails Review

Polish and Plates

Hello all. Today I have another review from Moyou Nails. I'll get straight into it as I have many photos for this review.I was kindly sent 2 polishes and 2 plates and have done the review on all items, and the link so you can find them.

You can see all Moyou Nails Stamping polish here, or if you just like these colours, Red and Gold. The plates are super pretty.

 Plate 121.

 Plate 123.

As you can see they stamp perfectly. Here I used Moyou Nails Stamper and scraper and black polish.

The red and gold polish also stamps really nicely, and these polishes can also be used as normal polish.

Both beautiful, quick drying and nice to apply. Shown here with 2 coats and no topcoat.
So onto the nails I did with both plates, the red, gold and black polish.

Plate 121 has some very pretty smaller designs. I love the tree on plate 123 and will so be using the for Autumn and winter mani's. My nails were just a bit too long for the full nail designs, but this was easy rectified by double stamping the nails that needed it. But I love how each manicure looks.
Overall both plates and polish are amazing quality, and you can follow Moyou Nails on FacebookInstagram and Twitter to keep up to date with them.
I'm off for a well earned cuppa lol, so till next time stay safe and much love...

Lady Queen Review

Rose Water Decals

Hoping you all had a great weekend, and for the start of a new week I have my second review for Lady Queen. These water decals are super pretty and can be found here, design number XF1042.

I loved the look of these and my mani colours was inspired by the roses, so with pastel polishes in purple, pink and yellow I made a very pretty gradient.
The decals were very easy to use and quick to apply. So I made a quick video.

How pretty! I love this mani so so much, the base colours and decals work perfectly together.

My 15 % Discount Code KLLC15 for you to use on Lady Queen site.

FacebookInstagram,Twittergoogle+ and blogger are the places you can keep up to date with Lady Queen.
Thank you for stopping by and as always stay safe and much love...

Freehand Floral Nails

MUA Polishes

Hey all, as I have recently been doing lots of reviews I thought it was time I did a mani for me. My gorgeous 6 month old granddaughter has this beautiful hat that when I saw her wearing it, I had to take a pic for a inspired by nail art.

Now I haven't any freehand flowers in a while, but I really like this floral pattern. So sorted out my polishes all from MUA.

All Nude, White Wash, Ocean Blue, Bold Blue, Bright Pink, Posy, Leapfrog and Pistachio Ice cream. I painted my nails with 2 coats of All Nude as a base colour.

With a thin nail art brush, I slowly painted the flowers on my nails with the darker polishes first, and using the lighter shades and white polish to add detail.
Top coated when dry. I'm somewhat happy with how they look, but know I can do better. What do you think?

I must push myself to try more freehand, especially one stroke.
Stay safe and much love....
